Testing some Majolica Majorca products

I'm happy to say that Majolica Majorca is now here in the Philippines. I've been lemming to buy these online especially the mascara, but I don't want to waste money buying something that might disappoint me later. So, when I knew that this Japanese brand is already in stores, I went crazy and impatient to go to the mall. Wish granted and off to Makati.

Straight on to the scene as I went to Watson's and go straight to the Majolica Majorca counter. I can't hear what the saleslady was saying, my eyes were just focused on the products arranged on their places smiling at me and hypnotizing me. Crazy. In short, I tried out the testers. I've realized it won't hurt that much on trying because before, I'd skip that part; and that leaves me clueless.

Eeh-nee-my-nee-mowwww. The important one first: a lipbalm. There.

Rouge Majex Lipbalm (with menthol, evening primrose oil and royal jelly extract)
Thoughts: I LOVE IT. It's my first time to try out a minty lipbalm without the irritating itch. Also, its fast action on moisturizing my easy-to-get chapped lips made me want to buy it. But not yet, I have to walk around first for hours to see how it lasts.Oh, it's unhygienic to use so -_- I might look for something better.

Anything cute? Haven't used a lipgloss for years because I think they're gross, hmmm lemme try this.
Rouge Majex Lip Gloss

Thoughts: Kawaii. Not sticky, not gross, not too glossy, just natural and comfortable. These are good to use over nude to pink shaded lipstick. Kawaiiiiii.

I walked away and thought my mission was done, but oops I forgot to try out the mascara!

I noticed there's another Majolica Majorca counter and went straight there. Good to see a huge mirror with proper lighting, and I tried out the famous mascara.

Lash Expander Mascara

Thoughts: I have indeed achieved my dream to have longer looking lashes. Hahahaha. I'm puzzled at first on how to apply it but thanks to the bubbly saleslady, I realized I have to put it on top and under the lashes. I'm amazed how it greatly made a difference on my lashes' length. Also, don't underestimate its 'waterproof' property because I got it totally washed out after 2 days of 6 normal washes. It's awesome. But then I thought, I need volumizing mascaras more than lengthening ones.

Tried out lining the black pencil eyeliner and liquid eyeliners on the top my hand.

Perfect Automatic Eyeliner

Thoughts: The black pencil eyeliner for me just looks normal. It was easy to smudge and easy to erase. I wished I tried out the other available colors though.
The liquid eyeliners, also available in different colors, are nice to look at. The colors were cute and glittery. These aren't easy to erase so I assume it would last long on eye application. And oh, they are easy to use for drawing that defined line. :)

Overall: Majolica Majorca make-up products that I've tried were definitely a must have. The quality isn't disappointing at all. Instead, they are top notch for a price not over 1000Php ($23). The price might not be that affordable for some but I assure you that you are paying for the good quality that you get from these. The prices in the local store is not that way higher than online. Sorry to say, but I'd get what's cheaper so I'd get them through Multiply. >_< At least I've tested and affirmed Majolica Majorca's awesomeness.

I'm not sure though but my sister told me their Pressed Powder was just ordinary. I wanna try it later to know if it's true.

Shampoos and Conditioners for the Sensitive Scalp

Long time no blog. Looks like my friend Ms. Depression brought me here, to start typing and let her put to rest. I'm glad to have that 'high' again to talk about some hair products that I love and love my hair and scalp back.

Before, I could easily use random shampoos and conditioners that I can easily find available in our shower rack. No problemo even if I use the same brand for months or a different one every other day.

Then, my hair has become dry and frizzy for a long time because I wasn't aware of how the sun was frying my hair. I didn't care anyway. So when I felt like I need to take care of my hair more, I started to choose my products wisely. My saviors before were Pantene Green (Smooth & Silky) and Violet (Total Care) Shampoo and Conditioner, Rejoice Hot Oil 3in1 Shampoo, and Creamsilk Pink Conditioner.

I've also tried doing the 'shampoo-conditioner-today and conditioner only on the next day' cycle. Doing that kind of routine just made my hair oily every other day, like there were two me's alternately showing up every passing day. It was too much.

Then my experimentation overload paid me off by making my scalp get itchy easily from the classic brands that I've used. The type of itch that made me thought I got lice, or much worse, leeches on my head. Weird description haha.

What I did during that time was ending my hair washing with Lactacyd Blue. It helped relieve the itch that I might feel hours after but it tends to dry out my hair. So no, it's better to look for more.

Luckily, I found good products that are gentle on my scalp but are still good in helping my hair remain soft and controlled from frizz. Notice that most of the products that worked for me are botanicals/organic products.

So here are the products that I've tried and loved...
  • VMV Hypoallergenics' Essence Skin-Saving Body and Bath Superwash Hair and Body Milk Shampoo - The best shampoo for me but the price is also the best LOL -__- Smells like baby's milk shampoo. It makes hair soft and your scalp totally itch-free. I could even use this without conditioner.
  • VMV Hypoallergenics' Essence Hair-Volumising Milk Conditioner - Used after the VMV Shampoo and you've got a great combo. VMV Hypoallergenics Essence Link
  • Human Heart Nature Moisturizing Egg Yolk & Aloe Vera Shampoo - Cute consistency like an egg yolk's! Cheaper organic shampoo that maintains hair's softness but VMV's is much better.

  • Pantene Nature Care Shampoo - Never thought this organic-shampoo-wannabe is definitely real and doesn't make my hair itchy. As always Pantene never fails to make my hair soft.

  • Beauty Formulas Henna Wax Hair Treatment/ Deep Conditioner - Recommended by yaptus, I'm currently using this as my conditioner and I love how it made my hair slowly revive from it's poor condition due to frequent dying. Much better if rinsed with warm water for more softer and manageable hair. Hoho!

But there are still products that I sometimes use just for a few days like..
  • Elastine Moisture Control Shampoo & Conditioner (Green) - the scent of this Korean product lastssssss for hours, and my hair looks good when I use this but after 2-3 days... *scratch, scratch* Still, I use it sometimes kweh.

  • Creamsilk Strength Boost Green - Creamsilk is the best. Bow.
What I miss though...

  • That Japanese Pantene Treatment (Blue) where you apply it after shampoo and conditioner! - made my hair super soft, straight that my full bangs and bob were so in place! No flyaways! Too bad it's not available anymore in the market. :((
So that's it. I dunno how to close this post. Lemme just say... I'm off to bed! Brrr.

Remember what works for me might not work awesomely to you. At least you know what you can try. Meow.
